Hi! I’m Laura. I’m from Central Jersey and I’m currently a Sophomore at Penn ****competing in the 200m and 400m sprints. Growing up I was actually a softball player and I only signed up for track to stay in shape for the upcoming season. Fast forward 2 years and I quit softball to pursue track full-time while running for my high school. I have an incredibly scientific approach to my running and I heavily embrace rehab, proper recovery techniques, creating routines, and the biochemical components of sprinting to give me my edge. I believe that understanding the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of your training is essential to bettering yourself as an athlete on and off the track.
Fun Fact: My birthday is February 29!

I am very grateful to have the opportunity to run track at Penn. I worked with a very scientific coach in high school who helped me drop my times by embracing the biochemical components of my events, and I’ve been in love with track ever since. I feel like there is so much knowledge and so many scientific elements of the sport that I can share to help young athletes unlock their full potential, and give them the same opportunities that my coach gave me. Sometimes, all it takes is one coach to believe in you, and I am here to cheer you on every step of the way! From tips to organizing and tracking your progress, pre/post-race routines, proper fueling, and navigating the recruiting process, I’ve worked to build up a knowledge base of supplementary materials that I can share with you to help you accomplish your goals and develop a deeper appreciation for the sport!
